Aims and use of the cookies

The BaasBox website installs cookies for the sole purpose of making possible or improving the offered functions and the navigation for the users.

If you wish, you can block some or all the cookies, or eliminate the cookies that have already been installed on your computer. However, you need to be aware that  in that way you may risk losing some functions.

To that extent, you need to modify the privacy settings on your browser.

Cookies used by BaasBox

  • cookie_notice_accepted: allows to not show the message relating to cookies anymore after pressing the “OK” button

  • PHPSESSID: memorizes navigation info, it expires at the end of the session

  • id: this is a technical cookie needed to maintain the user session when she is logged in into the Cloud Service dashboard.

  • amember_rp, amember_ru: technical cookies to manage user session when she is logged in the billing center of the Cloud Service.

Third-party cookies

Google Analytics

Used to store information on navigation mode by the user, in anonymous form. For more information on the use of cookies by Google Analytics, you may consult their official documentation , and more in general to learn about the use of cookies from Google with information on how to disable them.

  • _ga e _gat;

  • __utma: allows to establish the number of visits by a user on the BaasBox website;

  • __utmb: allows to establish the duration of the visit on the website;

  • __utmc: allows to establish the duration of the visit on the website. It expires at the end of the session;

  • __utmz: allows to establish the user’s origin;

  • __utmt: allows to establish the kind of request.

 CloudFare

  • _cfduid: Cookie assoiated with sites using CloudFlare, used to speed up page load times. According to CloudFlare it is used to override any security restrictions based on the IP address the visitor is coming from. It does not contain any user identification information.

General

Moreover, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Google Plus may use cookies that are useful to share contents on the social networks or to elaborate access statistics.

The presence, number and state of such cookies may depend on the use that the user makes of said social networks.

We invite all users to learn about the cookies management policy by the social networks on the interested websites.

How to disable cookies through browser configuration

Chrome

  1. Click on the menu on the Instruments bar on the browser, next to the slot where you insert the URL for navigation

  2. Select Settings

  3. Click on Show Advanced Settings

  4. Section “Privacy”, click on “Content settingi“

  5. Section “Cookies”, you can modify the following settings relating to cookies:

    • Allow local storage of data

    • Modify local data only until you close the browser

    • Prevent websites from setting the cookies

    • Block third party cookies and websites data

    • Manage exceptions for some websites

    • Eliminate one or all cookies

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Click on the menu on the instruments bar on the browser, next to the slot where you insert the URL for navigation

  1. Select Options

  2. Select the Privacy panel

  3. Click on Show Advanced Settings

  4. Section “Privacy”, click on the “Contents Settings“ button

  5. Section “Tracking”, you can modify the following settings relating to cookies:

    • Ask the websites not to do any tracking

    • Communicate the availability to being tracked

    • Not communicate any preference relating to personal data tracking

  6. Section  “History”, you can:

    • Enabling “Use customized settings” you can accept third party cookies (always, for the most visited websites or never) and store them for a certain period (until their expiration, until you close Firefox or ask every time)

    • Remove the single stored cookies

Internet Explorer

  1. Click on the Instruments button and choose Internet Options

  2. Click on the Privacy tab and in the Settings section you will be able to:

    • Block all cookies

    • Allow all cookies

    • Select the websites from which you want to get cookies: move the cursor to an intermediate position in order to not block or allow all cokies, then click on Websites, in the Website Address tab insert a website and then click on Block or Allow

Safari

  1. Click on Safari, select Preferences and then Privacy

  2. Section Block Cookies, specify how Safari has to accept cookies from websites.

  3. Click on Details to view what websites have stored the cookies.

Safari on mobile devices

  1. Select Settings and then Safari

  2. Select  Block Cookies and choose among the options: “Never”, “Third parties and advertisers” or “Always”

  3. To cancel all cookies stored on Safari, select Settings, then Safari and then Delete Cookies and data

Opera

  1. Select Preferences, then Advanced and then Cookies

  2. Select one among the following options:

    • Accept all cookies

    • Accept cookies only on the website you’re currently visiting: third-party cookies and those sent by a different domain will be refused

    • Never accept cookies: all cookies will never be stored

How to disable cookies from third-party services

This page is visible, through links in the footnotes of every page on the website in accordance with the art. 122 second subsection of the D.lgs. 196/2003 and following the simplified procedure for the information and acquisition of the approval for the use of cookies published on the Gazzetta Ufficiale n.126 on June 3rd  2014 and relating Provision register n.229 on May 8th 2014.
